Information derived from PhosphoSitePlus® (PSP) used in publications and presentations, should cite PSP as follows:
Printed presentations (journals, books, etc.), should cite this reference: “Hornbeck PV, Zhang B, Murray B, Kornhauser JM, Latham V, Skrzypek E PhosphoSitePlus, 2014: mutations, PTMs and recalibrations. Nucleic Acids Res. 2015 43:D512-20.”
Oral presentations, slides and images, that include information derived from PSP should include the following footnote in the lower right hand corner: “PhosphoSitePlus®, www.phosphosite.org”.
Web-based resources referring to modification sites derived from PSP should be hyperlinked to the corresponding PSP parent protein page using the base URL (www.phosphosite.org/uniprotAccAction?id=) followed by the specific UniProtKB ID. For example, modification sites within the human protein ANXA2 would be hyperlinked to: “https://www.phosphosite.org/uniprotAccAction?id=P07355”.
When 2nd party online database bulk downloads provide information derived from PSP, a column listing “PSP” as the source of the data must be included in the downloaded table(s).
