RAB11FIP1 A Rab11 effector protein involved in the endosomal recycling process. Also involved in controlling membrane trafficking along the phagocytic pathway and in phagocytosis. Homooligomer (isoform 2). Isoform 2 interacts with RAB4A, RAB11A, RAB11B and RAB25. According to PubMed:15280022, RAB4A binding to RAB11FIP1 is of very low affinity in vitro and in vivo. Isoform 2 is expressed in brain, heart, testis, lung, spleen, ovary and small intestine. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
