Phosphorylates RPS6KB1. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. NEK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. NIMA subfamily. Highly expressed in lung, muscle, testis, brain, heart, liver, leukocyte and spleen. Lower expression in ovary, prostate and kidney.
