CAPN10
Calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction. May play a role in insulin-stimulated glucose uptake. Belongs to the peptidase C2 family. Detected in primary skeletal muscle cells (at protein level). Ubiquitous. 8 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
