Stimulates SLC9A3 activity in the presence of elevated calcium ions. Expressed in kidney and the gastrointestinal tract. Not detected in brain, heart, skeletal muscle or cells of hematopoietic origin. 5 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported.
