Required for secretory cargo traffic from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Involved in peroxisome biogenesis. Regulates the transport of peroxisomal biogenesis factors PEX3 and PEX16 from the ER to peroxisomes. Belongs to the SEC16 family.
