G-alpha 11 a guanine nucleotide-binding protein of the G-alpha family. Acts as an activator of phospholipase C. Involved in signaling of gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor, negatively regulating cell growth. Down-regulation may be involved in human breast cancers.
