T507-p - PKCD (human)
Modsite: FGEsRAstFCGtPDy SwissProt Entrez-Gene
Orthologous residues
PKCD (human): T507‑p, PKCD iso2 (human): T538‑p, PKCD (mouse): T505‑p, PKCD iso2 (mouse): T531‑p, PKCD (rat): T505‑p
Methods used to characterize site in vivo mutation of modification site, phospho-antibody, western blotting
Relevant cell lines - cell types - tissues:  293 (epithelial)
Cellular systems studied:  cell lines
Species studied:  human
Downstream Regulation
Effect of modification (function):  enzymatic activity, induced, phosphorylation
Effect of modification (process):  apoptosis, altered
Comments:  PKCD T507A mutant caused apoptosis in transfected HEK293T cells, similar to the wild-type., T507A mutant is unable to activate NFkB and AP1-1 in reporter assays. T507A also showed a substrate selection defect of pMARKS but not in pCREB phosphorylation.
