MKK3
a dual-specificity protein kinase of the STE7 family. Activates p38 MAP kinase by phosphorylating a Thr and a Tyr residue in the activation loop. Is activated by cytokines and environmental stress in vivo. A deletion and two point mutants found in colon cancer cell lines. Three splice-variant isoforms have been described. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
