Overview
SMARCA2 an enzyme with ATP-dependent DNA helicase activity. A transcriptional coactivator that cooperates with nuclear hormone receptors to potentiate transcriptional activation. Binds TOPBP1. Belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. Two alternatively spliced human isoforms have been described. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
Protein type: Helicase; Transcription, coactivator/corepressor; Nuclear receptor co-regulator; EC 3.6.1.-; EC 3.6.4.-
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; SWI/SNF complex; intermediate filament cytoskeleton; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; nuclear chromatin; nucleolus; nucleus
Molecular Function: DNA-dependent ATPase activity; protein binding; transcription coactivator activity; helicase activity; ATP binding
