Overview
DNAH9 Force generating protein of respiratory cilia. Produces force towards the minus ends of microtubules. Dynein has ATPase activity; the force-producing power stroke is thought to occur on release of ADP. Belongs to the dynein heavy chain family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
