SLCO1A2 Mediates the Na(+)-independent transport of organic anions such as sulfobromophthalein (BSP) and conjugated (taurocholate) and unconjugated (cholate) bile acids. Selectively inhibited by the grapefruit juice component naringin. Belongs to the organo anion transporter (TC 2.A.60) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
