Overview
PLD1 a phosphatidylcholine-hydrolyzing phospholipase. Activated by ADP-ribosylated Rho and protein kinase C. Implicated as a critical step in numerous cellular pathways including membrane trafficking and the regulation polymorphonuclear leukocyte degranulation and oxidant production. May be involved in the regulation of perinuclear intravesicular membrane traffic. Four splice-variant isoforms have been described. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
