MTMR3 Phosphatase that acts on lipids with a phosphoinositol headgroup. Has phosphatase activity towards phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate. May also dephosphorylate proteins phosphorylated on Ser, Thr, and Tyr residues. Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Non-receptor class myotubularin subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
