syndecan-2
a heparan sulfate proteoglycan type I membrane protein that belongs to the syndecan proteoglycan family. Preferentially expressed in cells of mesenchymal origin. Is tyrosine phosphorylated and forms a complex with EphB2 in mouse brain. Plays a role in mediating adhesion and proliferation of colon carcinoma cells.
