Participates in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. Homodimer. Binds TNFRSF1A. Interacts with PIP4K2A. Interaction with PIP4K2A suppresses ubiquitination by the SPOP/ CUL3 complex. Highly expressed in brain, heart, pancreas, skeletal muscle and kidney. Detected at lower levels in placenta, lung and liver. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
