Overview
SP1 a transcription factor of the Sp1 C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Phosphorylated and activated by MAPK. Dephosphorylation by PTEN inhibits DNA binding. Binds to p38 in the nucleus. Interacts with Huntingtin and TAFII130. Transcriptional activity of SP1 and TAFII130 disrupted in early Huntingtin's Disease. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
